This tutorial was written for PSP9. I have included lots of instructions and screen shots with the hope that anyone can do this
~ You will need ~ Let's get started ... Go to Layers/Duplicate. Effects/Plugins/Filter Factory Q/Mosaic with these settings .. Nose 13, Amount 139. Go to Effects/Distortion Effects/Pixelate Block width and height 13. In your Layer palette change the Blend mode to Hard Light and lower the Opacity to 80. Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds Width 15, Opacity 5, Color Black. Check Horizontal and Light from left/top. Here's what you should have now .. ![]() Using your Eraser Tool erase the areas within the selection below .. Using your Selection tool draw out a selection like below .. it includes 4 of the horizontal stripes Go to Edit/Copy, Selections/Select None, Edit Paste as a new layer. Image/Rotate/Free Rotate/Left/90%/Uncheck "All layers" and "Rotate single layer around canvas center". In your Layer Palette change the bland mode to Hard light and lower the Opacity to 80. ![]() Using your Eraser tool of the chair and all of her dress. Erase about half the stripe on the right side of the chair. ![]() Go to Layers/New Raster Layer. In your Materials Palette change the foreground color to Pattern and find tp_UrbanSchool, Angle 0, Scale 100 and Flood Fill your layer. Change your Blend Mode to Soft Light and using your Easer Tool Duplicate this layer, change the Blend mode to Multiply and lower the Opacity to 70. You may have some of the pattern fill showing on the lady after you change the blend mode, use your eraser and erase any of the pattern you see left on her. Go to Layers/New Raster Layer. Using your Paintbrush tool size 250, step 32, density 100, rotation 180, opacity 100. Change your foreground color to #8b4217 and apply your brush by clicking twice in the lower right corner, like below .. {If you don't see the brush outline, go to File/Preferences/General Program Preferences. Click on the Display and Caching tab and check Show brush outlines.} ![]() Change your Foreground color to black. Change the brush size to 150 and apply your brush three times, scattering them over the area of the first brush application. ![]() Layers/New Raster Layer and using your Paintbrush again, find 07Touchstone 004, size 500, color #8b4217. Apply like below .. Change the Blend mode to Multiply and lower the Opacity to 58. Erase the brush from the selection area. ![]() Layers/New Raster Layer. Using your paintbrush find gh_plumerias, size 175. Change your foreground color to Black and apply the brush, clicking twice in the lower left corner. Foreground color Black, background color off, using your Preset Shape tool Watch your status bar (bottom right corner) and starting at x:6 y:6 draw out a rectangle to x:394 y:394 making a dotted border around the image. Add two more boxes like below ... Layers/New Raster Layer. Using your paintbrush find gh_text1, size 160, color #8b4217. Aapply the brush twice in the upper box. Add a drop shadow, Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 100, Blur 2 and Color Black. Repeat the drop shadow again with the same settings. ![]() Using your text tool ![]() Make your Foreground color #00000 and Background color #bf5d21 and add your text to the bottom box. Go to your layer palette, right click on your text layer and "Convert to Raster Layer". Go to Selections/Select All, Selections/Float, Selections/Modify/Contract 1. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel. Choose "Bevel One" Smoothness 32, Depth 1, Ambience 0, Shininess 44, Angle 315, Intensity 39 and Elevation 36. Go to Selections/Select None. For the drop shadow go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..... Vertical 2, Horizontal 1, Opacity 65, Blur 5 and Color #000000 (black) Add a new raster layer for your watermark, save as a .jpg and you are done.
